If you've ever grumbled about a Hyundai's vague steering feel or squishy ride, fear not, my enthusiast minded friend. Though the automotive press is certainly responsible for perpetuating an annoying barrage of N?rburgring-related hype, the Korean carmaker's performance-focused clientele will be all the richer for Hyundai's recent announcement that they're succumbing to 'Ring-mania by building a $7 million complex at the famed track.
?
Hyundai's R?sselsheim, Germany-based R&D headquarters have developed nearly all of the manufacturer's European products and will be the biggest benefactors of the N?rburgring presence. The N?rburgring findings aim to focus on refining vehicle "customer experiences," which promises to "... significantly contribute to enhancing the perception of the Hyundai brand and our key competitive competence in Europe," says Hyundai's Allan Rushforth.?
?
Sure they've had their bumps along the way, but if Hyundai can unlock the mysteries intuitive chassis response and viscerally satisfying vehicle dynamics, they'll take one step closer to achieving the level of global dominance every major carmaker aspires towards. Let's just hope the knowledge gained at the Green Hell trickles down to the brand's global products; after all, Europeans drivers aren't the only ones obsessed with striking the ideal balance between ride and handling.
